About
I am Tangata Tiriti, born and raised in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, with whakapapa to Ireland and India.
My career began in London in the not-for-profit sector, before moving to the Department of Health, where I worked across policy, advisory, and system design roles. My time in central government included roles as advisor to the Secretary of State for Health, and Private Secretary/Chief of Staff to two government ministers. Those roles required the ability to work under pressure, to be across a breadth and depth of issues, to identify what’s important, and to build trusted relationships with a range of stakeholders - skills that are core in what I bring to my clients. I enhanced the knowledge and expertise that I’d gained in central government, gaining leadership experience in the NHS.
After sixteen years in the UK, we returned to Aotearoa to give our tamariki a greater sense of whānau. I continued working in frontline health before returning to the variety that I love – first as an associate director in PwC’s Hauora Consulting Practice and now as an independent consultant.
I love working with people and organisations to facilitate kōrero, to harness knowledge and insights, and to support them on their journeys. I listen to understand what matters to you, and what matters to the communities that you serve.
Alongside my consultancy mahi, I am māmā to two fabulous rangatahi tāne, who are the joys of my life. I am a member of the Institute of Directors, a board member for Well Women Trust and a volunteer with Good Bitches Baking.
